- Hi there everybody
-
- I have a proposition.
- What we need is a working basis to develop the BM project. Doug is the
- author of the 3D engine. He wants to keep it secret, and he has every right
- to do so. Of course it goes against the very basic ideas of BM, but well.
- His arguments are that he makes a living with some of these alogorithms. OK.
- So, for the moment, to provide us with a working basis, would it be possible
- for Doug to provide us with a "black box" with wires. I mean, what we need
- are the entry points of his routines and the parameters that they need. To
- work, we don't need to mess with his code.
- So he could give us a source looking something like that:
-
- Node_in_cone:
- * parameters:
- * in: such and such
- * out: this and that
- .incbin "nodincon.bin"
-
- Etcaetera.
- This way, Doug's sources aren't revealed, and we can use his routines just
- the same.
- Would this satisfy people? And you, Doug?
-
- Regards, Bertrand
